One thing that may have helped is I have started getting out more. We can load up the wheelchair and get in the car and go exciting places. Like to pizza buffets with the kids. Or work. Either way, it’s broken the spell a bit, and whereas this morning I was watching The Price is Right as if this was a normal thing for a grown man to be doing, we went to the bookstore this evening. Diane got a couple of books, and I got Nick Hornby’s High Fidelity.
I’m now reading it (well, I was, and I will be again, once I finish writing about it) and listening to latin jazz on XM Channel 70.
I can almost feel the neurons begin to fire again.
